Notre Dame is deeply saddened by the passing of Coach Tom D’Angelo, a beloved coach, mentor, and friend whose presence shaped our community for 10 years.

As head coach of the girls tennis program, Coach D’Angelo brought unmatched passion, experience, and care to his student-athletes. With over 50 years in the sport he dedicated himself to fostering growth, sportsmanship, and a lifelong love for tennis in every student he coached.

Coach D’Angelo led with both heart and purpose, guiding his teams to success on the court while instilling values that reached far beyond it. His leadership, humility, and genuine kindness left an enduring mark on all who had the privilege to know him.

The entire Notre Dame community mourns this tremendous loss and celebrates the legacy of a man who gave so much to our school and our student-athletes. Coach D’Angelo will be deeply missed but never forgotten. We will come together to honor his life and legacy at Mass next Tuesday, November 4th.
