Notre Dame Celebrates 2026 Athletic Hall of Fame Inductees

EASTON, PA — Notre Dame High School proudly welcomed five distinguished alumni into the Notre Dame Athletic Hall of Fame during an induction ceremony held this past weekend in the Jeff Dailey Gymnasium.

The ceremony took place on Saturday, January 10, 2026, between the Girls and Boys Varsity Basketball games versus Wilson, following the girls’ game at approximately 1:00 p.m. Family, friends, alumni, and members of the Notre Dame community gathered to recognize and celebrate the remarkable athletic achievements and lifelong contributions of the honorees.

The 2026 Athletic Hall of Fame inductees were Chadd Lilly, Class of 2005; Scott Salabsky, Class of 1994; Maura (Delserro) Hammerstone, Class of 1995; Frank Scattene, Class of 1976; and Cheryl (Muller) Fenton, Class of 1975. Each inductee exemplified excellence in competition, leadership, and service to Notre Dame High School athletics.

Cheryl (Muller) Fenton, Class of 1975, was recognized for her extraordinary dedication to Notre Dame’s cheerleading program over more than three decades. She began coaching during the 1984–85 season and served continuously since 1994, totaling 33 years at Notre Dame. During her tenure, Fenton coached more than 1,100 cheerleaders, attended over 1,300 games, and devoted an estimated 15,000-plus hours to practices and competitions. A seven-time Colonial League Coach of the Year, she guided her teams to numerous elite finishes, including podium placements at UCA Elite Camps and Game Day Championships. She also coached more than 50 All-American cheerleaders, many of whom went on to compete at the collegiate level across Division I, II, and III programs, including Virginia Tech, Seton Hall, and Penn State.

Frank Scattene, Class of 1976, was honored for his success as a multi-sport athlete in football, basketball, and volleyball. On the football field, he rushed for 1,180 yards as a senior, earning Express All-Area First Team and Centennial League First Team honors. He was selected as the starting running back in the 1976 LARC All-Star Football Game and represented Notre Dame as a Lehigh Valley Football Scholar Athlete. In basketball, Scattene was a three-time letter winner and earned Centennial League Second Team honors during the 1975–76 season while averaging 10 points per game. He also earned Express All-Area Honorable Mention recognition in 1974–75 and lettered on Notre Dame’s first volleyball team.

Scott Salabsky, Class of 1994, was inducted as one of the most accomplished wrestlers in Notre Dame history, finishing his career with 105 wins. He was a four-time Centennial League Champion from 1991 through 1994 and placed fifth at the PIAA Championships in both 1993 and 1994. Salabsky captured the 1994 District XI Championship and finished as the district runner-up in 1993. He was named Team MVP in 1993 and 1994, earned NDHS Male Athlete of the Year honors in 1994, and was a finalist for Lehigh Valley Scholar Athlete of the Year. He also represented Notre Dame in elite competitions, including the Challenge of Champions (AA vs. AAA) and international USA vs. Russia events.

Maura (Delserro) Hammerstone, Class of 1995, was celebrated for her excellence in cross country and track. She was named Cross Country MVP three consecutive years from 1992 through 1994 and earned Track MVP honors in 1993. Hammerstone captured the 1993 Centennial League Individual Championship, placed second at the 1992 Centennial League Championships, finished third at the 1992 District XI Championships, and placed fifth at the 1994 Colonial League Cross Country Championships. Her consistent success helped elevate Notre Dame’s distance programs during the early 1990s.

Chadd Lilly, Class of 2005, was recognized as one of the most prolific scorers in Notre Dame boys basketball history, finishing his career with 1,099 points. He was named Colonial League Most Valuable Player in 2005 and earned First Team All-Colonial League honors in both 2003 and 2005. Lilly was also selected as the Express-Times Player of the Year in 2005 and received Third Team All-State AA recognition, solidifying his legacy as one of the premier players to wear a Crusader uniform.
