Notre Dame kicked off the Jeff Dailey Memorial Tip-Off Tournament on Saturday, hosting an exciting slate of early-season basketball. In the opener, Pocono Mountain West topped Frankford in a 1 p.m. matchup to advance to Sunday’s championship game.

The Crusaders followed with a highly anticipated rematch against Freedom High School at 2:30 p.m. Last year’s thriller went to triple overtime, and this year’s contest once again delivered late-game drama. After battling through regulation, Notre Dame pulled away in overtime to secure a 63–55 victory.

Junior guard Justin Manning powered the Crusaders with a dominant performance, pouring in 38 points, going 12-of-17 from the free-throw line, and adding 4 rebounds. Fellow junior Drew Boyd contributed 8 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists, while sophomore Tommy Murphy posted a well-rounded line of 5 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists. Junior Quinn Bohn added 5 points and 4 boards, senior Cody Driscoll chipped in 4 points, and sophomore Madden Roselli scored 3 points.

With the results of Saturday’s action, Frankford will meet Freedom in the consolation game at 2:30 p.m., while Notre Dame will face Pocono Mountain West in today’s 4:00 p.m. championship matchup.
