The Notre Dame boys basketball team finished as the runner-up in the Jeff Dailey Tip-Off Tournament on Sunday, falling 72-54 to a sharp-shooting Pocono Mountain West squad.

After a tight opening quarter that saw the Panthers edge ahead 13-11, PM West built momentum and took a 38-23 lead into halftime. Notre Dame continued to battle and cut into the deficit in the third, but West maintained control, holding a 55-40 advantage after three quarters before closing out the win.

Justin Manning led the Crusaders with a strong all-around performance, posting 20 points, 2 assists, and 1 rebound. Drew Boyd followed closely with 18 points, 2 assists, and 6 rebounds. Tommy Murphy added 5 points, 4 assists, and 4 rebounds, while Cody Driscoll contributed 4 points, 2 assists, and 6 rebounds. Additional scoring came from Hayden Levy (3 points), Madden Roselli (2 points), and Gene Behme (2 points). Quinn Bohn facilitated the offense with 4 assists.

Following the championship game, tournament honors were announced. Notre Dame’s Drew Boyd and Justin Manning were named to the All-Tournament Team. Pocono Mountain West was represented by Brady Behr and Tournament MVP KJ Coles, who powered the Panthers with a 23-point performance.

Notre Dame returns to action on Tuesday, hosting Jim Thorpe in the opening game of Colonial League play.
