The Notre Dame Crusaders girls' basketball team delivered a dominant performance Wednesday night, defeating Jim Thorpe 72-10 at home.
The Crusaders showcased a balanced offensive attack, with Ava Shonk leading the way with 16 points, including two three-pointers. Ella Schweitzer followed closely with 17 points, highlighted by three shots from beyond the arc, while Brenna Hammerstone added 10 points through consistent scoring inside. Emily Lessig was a force on the boards and contributed 14 points, including six made free throws. Addison Ryan chipped in 4 points while anchoring the team’s defensive efforts. Notre Dame jumped out to an early lead, scoring 31 points in the first quarter, and continued their dominance in the second half with 41 more points.
The Crusaders return back in action at home vs. Lehighton Friday night.
