The Notre Dame boys cross country team opened up their season with a 2A Class title runner-up finish at the Lions Invitational on Friday afternoon.
Top finishers: Out of 125 runners, freshman Emmett Reiland lead the Crusaders (23rd) in 18:10, sophomore Aiden Van Wert (25th) in 18:19, sophomore Dante Azzolina (29th) in 18:22, sophomore Alexander Pirog (45th) in 19:16, junior Darek Schaeffer (47th) in 19:23, and freshman Jameson Kopp (52nd) in 19:45.
The Crusaders return to actions on Wednesday at Saucon Valley.
