Girls Tennis Open Season with Victory Over Palisades

The Notre Dame girls’ tennis team kicked off their season in impressive fashion on Tuesday, earning their first win with a strong performance at home against Palisades.
In singles, Viktoria Vosseiler set the tone with a steady 6-4, 6-3 win over Luca Wilson. Paige Yurik battled through a three-set thriller at second singles, pulling out the victory 6-1, 4-6, 6-2 against Reese Eskesen. Freshman Grace Rinaldi made a memorable debut at third singles, earning her first varsity win with a 6-4, 6-2 victory over Ella Young.
The doubles teams sealed the overall win. Gabby Ronca and Mackenzie Bower earned a straight-sets victory, 6-3, 6-4, over Riley Alkhas and Mollie Liberg, while Meghan Maslonka and Avery Rush turned in a commanding 6-1, 6-2 performance against Maggie Eastman and Louise Herczyk.
They now turn their attention to Southern Lehigh on Thursday, where they’ll look to build on this strong start.
