Girls Tennis Fall to Blue Mountain

The Notre Dame girls’ tennis team battled hard in their match against Blue Mountain but ultimately fell 2-3 in a closely contested contest.
In singles play, Viktoria Vosseller faced a tough opponent in Mary Solscu, falling 0-6, 1-6. Paige Yurik battled through a marathon match at No. 2 singles against Eva Fisher but came up justshort, 6-4, 7-6, 9-11. Freshman Grace Rinaldi also put up a strong fight, taking the first set before dropping a 2-6, 0-6 decision to Sophia Woll.
Notre Dame’s doubles teams showed strength, picking up both victories. At No. 1 doubles, Gabby Ronca and Mackenzie Bower came out on top against Emma Piazza and Arpita Mishra, 6-1, 6-2. The duo of Meghan Maslonka and Avery Rush followed with another strong performance at No. 2 doubles, defeating Leonita Sylaj and Jasmine Dill, 6-3, 6-4.
Despite the narrow 2-3 loss, the Crusaders showed grit and resilience, with multiple matches decided by just a few points. Next match tomorrow they will face Pen Argyl on the road.
