Notre Dame baseball fell to Palmerton 8-2 on Thursday, unable to generate much offense against a strong pitching performance from the opposition. The Crusaders managed just two hits, with Michael Martino and Michael Wachter each collecting one. Austin Casal drove in the team’s lone RBI, but the lineup struggled to capitalize on opportunities, leaving multiple runners stranded.
On the mound, John Hull took the loss, allowing six runs (three earned) on seven hits over 3.1 innings. Andrew Wake and Michael Martino combined for 2.2 innings of relief, with Martino delivering a strong performance by striking out four and allowing no hits.
Notre Dame will look to regroup and secure a win when they face Wilson in their next matchup.
