In a thrilling Friday night matchup, Notre Dame fought hard but ultimately fell to North Schuylkill 31-29 in the final moments of the game.
Junior quarterback Matt Bodnar, threw an impressive 363 yards and three touchdowns on 17-of-26 passing. Bodnar connected frequently with junior Alex Clark, who delivered a monster performance with five receptions for 207 yards and all three of Bodnar's touchdown passes. Senior Carmine Diaz also contributed six catches for 81 yards, adding another reliable target for Bodnar.
Defensively, Notre Dame’s leaders worked hard to slow North Schuylkill’s offense. Senior Christian Rivituso led the charge with 11 tackles and 6 assists, while senior Nino Morici, Jr. added 9 tackles and 4 assists. The defense got contributions across the board, with Kalet Wilson (7 tackles, 6 assists) Austin Casal (7 tackles, 3 assists), John Hull (7 tackles, 4 assists) and Drew Boyd (6 tackles, 6 assists).
The Crusaders are back in action Friday night at home vs. Saucon Valley.
