Notre Dame put on an offensive show Saturday afternoon, cruising to a 59-7 victory over Pen Argyl in a dominant Colonial League performance. The Crusaders rolled up 461 total yards while holding the Green Knights to just 143.

Quarterback Matt Bodnar led the charge, completing 12 of 15 passes for 241 yards and four touchdowns. He connected with Cody Driscoll for a 31-yard score, Alex Clark for a 56-yard strike, Eddie Youngkin on a 15-yard touchdown, and Jonathan Striba from 36 yards out. Tommy Murphy added a touchdown pass of his own in the third quarter, finding Driscoll for a 24-yard score.

Striba had a standout all-around performance, scoring three times, once on a 14-yard run, again on a 37-yard punt return, and through the air on Bodnar’s third-quarter strike. Youngkin added a 6-yard rushing touchdown in the fourth to cap the Crusaders’ offensive explosion.

Notre Dame’s defense was equally impressive, forcing four turnovers and limiting Pen Argyl’s run game to just 59 yards. Faust Capobianco led the defense with six tackles and a fumble recovery, while Jackson Wallace recorded an interception. Garrett Grants and Tom Kosiba each recovered fumbles as the Crusaders’ defensive front dominated throughout.

Kicker Clemente Cintron was perfect on the day, hitting a 26-yard field goal and converting all five extra-point attempts before Mark Perone came on to hit three PATs of his own.

With the victory, Notre Dame improves its record to 7-0 and builds strong momentum heading into Homecoming on Friday night at Lafayette College, where the Crusaders will take on Palisades under the lights.
