It was a picture-perfect Senior Night for the Notre Dame Crusaders as they capped off their regular season in commanding fashion, defeating Wilson 62-0 on Friday night at Lafayette. The win not only celebrated the team’s seniors but also secured the Colonial League White Division Championship, as the Crusaders now head into the District XI 3A playoffs as the No. 1 seed.

Quarterback Matt Bodnar led the offensive, completing 13 of 17 passes for 311 yards and five touchdowns. He connected with Alex Clark twice for scores (74 and 32 yards) and Drew Boyd twice as well (54 and 27 yards), while Clemente Cintron added a 7-yard touchdown reception.

Notre Dame wasted no time building momentum, racing out to a 21-0 first-quarter lead and extending it to 41-0 by halftime. The Crusaders finished with a staggering 587 yards of total offense while holding Wilson to just 133 yards and forcing three interceptions.

Sophomore Tommy Murphy showcased his versatility, throwing a touchdown, rushing for another on a 90-yard run, and adding 71 passing yards in relief. Jason Frederick contributed a 43-yard touchdown run, and Eddie Youngkin caught a 10-yard touchdown from Murphy in the third quarter.

Defensively, Notre Dame was just as dominant. Drew Boyd, John Hull, and Jackson Wallace each picked off passes, while Austin Casal added a fumble recovery to complete the Crusaders’ lockdown performance.

With the statement win, Notre Dame (now 10-0) will shift focus to the postseason, opening the District XI 3A playoffs as the top seed. They’ll face No. 8 Salisbury on Thursday night at 6:30 p.m. at Catasauqua Middle School, looking to carry their momentum into another championship run.
