Swimming: Southern LeHS Meet

The Notre Dame swim team competed for times against Southern Lehigh on December 15, with Crusader swimmers focusing on individual improvement across multiple events.
Junior Alivia Rieland led the girls’ efforts, swimming a 32.16 in the 50-yard freestyle and returning later to post a 1:13.16 in the 100-yard freestyle. Freshman Makayla Hoole competed in two events as well, finishing the 50-yard freestyle in 36.24 and recording a time of 1:47.47 in the 100-yard breaststroke.
On the boys’ side, senior Mark Otten turned in consistent performances, swimming a 29.08 in the 50-yard freestyle and a 1:05.78 in the 100-yard freestyle. Freshman Anthony Brazzo clocked a 29.36 in the 50-yard freestyle and added a 1:26.90 in the 100-yard breaststroke.
Freshman Jaxon Ellis showcased endurance in the distance events, posting a strong 6:00.95 in the 500-yard freestyle and later recording a 1:17.10 in the 100-yard breaststroke.
The meet provided valuable racing experience as the Crusaders continue to focus on personal bests and development throughout the season.
