Swimming vs. Tamaqua

Notre Dame swimmers were back in the pool on Monday, continuing to focus on individual improvement and gaining valuable race experience in their home meet alongside Tamaqua and Moravian Academy. Several swimmers showed progress compared to their previous meet at Saucon Valley.
On the boys side, freshman Jaxon Ellis had a busy night, posting 25.90 in the 50 freestyle, a 1:06.92 in the 100 backstroke, and anchoring the 200 freestyle relay. Senior Mark Otten posted a 29.75 in the 50 freestyle and improved his 100 freestyle to 1:04.10, showing consistency across multiple events. Freshman Anthony Brazzo swam 28.13 in the 50 freestyle and gained experience in the 100 breaststroke (1:23.31) while leading off the boys’ 200 freestyle relay. Fellow freshman Lucas Wefing posted 1:04.17 in the 100 freestyle, slightly faster than his previous 1:04.05, and 1:17.07 in the 100 backstroke. The boys’ 200 freestyle relay team of Brazzo, Otten, Wefing, and Ellis combined for 1:53.01, improving significantly from their 2:05.58 in the 200 medley relay at Saucon Valley.
On the girls’ side, sophomore Mia Uliana continued her steady progression, improving her 100 freestyle from 1:14.12 to 1:07.89 and swimming a 2:42.13 in the 200 IM. Junior Alivia Rieland contributed strong swims of 30.82 in the 50 freestyle and 1:12.01 in the 100 freestyle. Freshman Makayla Hoole gained additional varsity experience, touching the wall in 36.41 for the 50 freestyle and 1:46.09 in the 100 breaststroke.
Notre Dame will continue their season with a focus on steady improvement as they prepare for their next meet on the road at Easton this Saturday.
