The Notre Dame Crusaders celebrated Senior Day in style with a commanding 5-0 victory over Notre Dame East Stroudsburg on Thursday afternoon.

Junior Viktoria Vosseller set the tone with a commanding win in No. 1 singles, defeating her opponent 6-0, 6-2. Senior Claire Ceraul followed with a hard-fought 6-0, 6-4 victory at No. 2 singles, while fellow senior Sophia Micklus added another point for the Crusaders, winning No. 3 singles 6-2, 6-3.

In doubles action, the juniors took charge, with Mackenzie Bower and Gabby Ronca winning No. 1 doubles in a perfect 6-0, 6-0 sweep. Senior Georgia Miles and junior Paige Yurik capped off the day, taking No. 2 doubles 6-1, 6-1.

The Crusaders’ all-around effort made Senior Day a special and memorable occasion. Congratulations to all of our seniors, Claire Ceraul, Riley Kearns, Sophia Miklus, Georgia Miles, Ava Salaki, and Alexis Svadeba.

In a tough matchup against Saucon Valley Monday afternoon, the Notre Dame girls’ tennis team faced a 1-4 defeat.

Sophomore Paige Yurik and senior Georgia Miles showcased their teamwork, dominating the #2 doubles match with a decisive 6-1, 6-2 victory.

The Notre Dame girls tennis team dropped a 4-1 decision to Southern Lehigh in their home opener Thursday.

The Crusaders earned their sole point of the match in doubles as juniors Mackenzie Bower and Gabby Ronca teamed up to take down their Spartan opponents 6-1, 6-2.

Girls tennis is back in action Monday at Wilson.

The Notre Dame girls tennis team was able to win their first match of the season on the road against Palisades.

The visiting Crusaders won 2 of the 3 singles and both doubles to record the 4-1 victory. 

The team won their first two singles behind junior, Viktoria Vosseller (6-6, 7-5) and senior, Claire Ceraul (6-5, 6-4).

Juniors, Mackenzie Bower and Gabby Ronca took care of business in the No. 1 slot with a 6-1, 6-4 result over the Pirates.

Sophomore, Paige Yurik and senior, Lexi Svadba followed suit in the No. 2 position with a 6-1, 6-4 win to finish the evening.

The Crusaders will resume in action Thursday at home vs. Southern Lehigh.
