Senior Donja Tripp capped off her high school swimming career with an impressive showing at the state championships, hosted by Bucknell University.

Competing in both the 50-yard and 100-yard freestyle events, Donja secured a metal with an 8th-place finish in the 50 free with a time of 23.99 and placed 17th in the 100 free with a time of 54.85. 

Her dedication and hard work were evident in her improvement from her underclassmen years, solidifying her legacy within the Notre Dame swim program. We are incredibly proud of Donja and the mark she has left on our team!

Senior Donja Tripp capped off her high school swimming career with an impressive showing at the state championships, hosted by Bucknell University.

Swim Day 2 of the PIAA District XI Championships

Day 2 of the PIAA District XI Championships at Parkland High School featured strong performances from our Notre Dame swimmers.

Senior Donja Tripp competed in the Girls 100 Yard Freestyle, delivering an impressive performance with a final time of 53.65 seconds, earning 17 points for the team. Her split times included 25.87 seconds for the first 50 yards and 27.78 seconds for the final stretch.

In the Girls 500 Yard Freestyle, sophomore Ava Uliana swam a time of 6:19.26, securing 2 points. Her pacing throughout the race remained consistent, with key splits including 31.99 seconds at 50 yards, 1:07.68 at 100 yards, and 2:24.87 at the 200-yard mark, demonstrating endurance and determination in the grueling long-distance event.

Meanwhile, freshman Mia Uliana took on the Girls 100 Yard Backstroke, finishing with a time of 1:12.80 and contributing 12 points to the team's total. She showcased strong technique, hitting a 35.00-second split at the 50-yard mark and closing out with a 37.80-second final stretch.

With the successful weekend, Tripp has officially secured her spot at states, qualifying automatically in the 50 Free by winning gold Friday. She has also qualified in the 100 Free based on her time. Looking at the psych sheets, she is seeded 3rd in the 50 Free and 10th in the 100 Free heading into the state competition.

The PIAA AA State Championships will take place from March 11th to 13th.

Notre Dame's swimmers delivered remarkable performances at the PIAA District XI AA Championships, held on Friday night at Parkland High School. Competing against top talent from across the district, the Crusaders made their presence known with impressive times and strong finishes.

Donja Tripp stole the spotlight in the Girls 50 Yard Freestyle, securing first place in Heat 3, Lane 4 with a stunning time of 23.74 seconds, improving from her entry time of 24.45. With this dominant performance, Tripp was crowned the District XI Champion in the event. Her victory earned 20 points for the team, solidifying her dominance in the event.

In the Girls 200 Yard Individual Medley, Mia Uliana showed great endurance and versatility. Racing from Heat 2, Lane 8, she finished with a time of 2:33.29, slightly behind her entry time of 2:36.01. Her performance contributed 12 points to Notre Dame’s overall score. Her split times showcased her balanced skill set across all four strokes:

  • 50 Fly: 32.38
  • 100 Back: 39.44 (1:11.82 cumulative)
  • 150 Breast: 46.54 (1:58.36 cumulative)
  • 200 Free: 34.93 (Final: 2:33.29)

Meanwhile, Ava Uliana competed fiercely in the Girls 100 Yard Butterfly, racing in Heat 1, Lane 3. She clocked in at 1:10.37, just shy of her entry time of 1:11.06, earning 7 points for the team. Her split times were:

  • 50 Fly: 32.00
  • 100 Fly: 38.37

The Crusaders will be back in the pool today to continue their district competition. Donja Tripp will race in the 100 Yard Freestyle, Ava Uliana will compete in the 500 Yard Freestyle, and Mia Uliana will take on the 100 Yard Backstroke. Notre Dame Green Pond swimmers continued to put forth strong efforts in their meet against Schuylkill Haven, with multiple swimmers achieving impressive times and showing steady improvement in various events.

 

Event 7: Girls 50-Yard Freestyle

Violet Dewalt (FR) posted a 30.54, maintaining her speed in this fast-paced event.

Regan Dittmar (SO) followed closely with a 31.49, demonstrating her consistency in the sprint.

Maria Maranon (SO) finished in 32.56, while Alivia Rieland (SO) touched in at 32.60, rounding out a solid showing for Notre Dame in the 50 free.

 

Event 8: Boys 50-Yard Freestyle

Mark Otten (JR) swam a 29.51, keeping up a strong effort against tough competition.

 

Event 13: Girls 100-Yard Freestyle

Maria Maranon (SO) recorded a time of 1:15.71, pacing herself well with splits of 35.98 and 39.73.

 

Event 13: Boys 100-Yard Freestyle

Mark Otten (JR) clocked in at 1:08.12, with a strong first split of 32.85.

 

Event 19: Girls 100-Yard Backstroke

Regan Dittmar (SO) swam a personal best of 1:19.74, with steady splits of 39.06 and 40.68, demonstrating solid endurance.

 

Event 21: Girls 100-Yard Breaststroke

Violet Dewalt (FR) had an impressive race, finishing with a time of 1:26.59, with split times of 40.37 and 46.22.

Alivia Rieland (SO) also delivered a strong swim, recording a 1:42.55, with splits of 46.58 and 55.97.

 

Notre Dame Green Pond continues to showcase resilience and determination in the pool, with swimmers refining their techniques and improving their times. The team now sets their sights on districts and states in the coming weeks as they look to carry this momentum forward.

Notre Dame Green Pond swimmers delivered strong performances in their recent meet against Pocono Mountain East, showcasing determination and progress across several events.

Girls 50 Yard Freestyle:
Freshman Mia Uliana led the charge with a time of 28.87, closely matching her seed time. Violet Dewalt (FR) showed improvement, touching the wall at 29.95. Regan Dittmar (SO) finished in 31.79, while Maria Maranon (SO) clocked 32.73. Alivia Rieland (SO) rounded out the event with a time of 33.51.

Boys 50 Yard Freestyle:
Junior Mark Otten competed hard, finishing with a time of 31.88.

Boys 100 Yard Freestyle:
Mark Otten (JR) returned to post a time of 1:08.31, demonstrating consistency throughout the race.

Girls 100 Yard Backstroke:
Mia Uliana (FR) impressed with a strong swim, finishing in 1:12.93. Regan Dittmar (SO) completed her first official backstroke race with a time of 1:21.14. Alivia Rieland (SO) finished in 1:32.16, gaining valuable experience.

Girls 100 Yard Breaststroke:
Violet Dewalt (FR) slightly improved her seed time, finishing in 1:27.72. Maria Maranon (SO) maintained steady form, touching the wall at 1:36.28.

During the swim meet, the Notre Dame Crusaders took a moment to recognize their lone senior, Donja Tripp, for her dedication and accomplishments over the past four years. Her leadership and commitment have been invaluable to the team.

Notre Dame Green Pond swimmers delivered a series of strong performances vs. Saucon Valley, achieving top times in multiple heats and demonstrating continued progress in the pool.

Event 3: Girls 200-Yard Freestyle

Ava Uliana (SO) swam a strong race, finishing with a time of 2:24.66, securing the top time in her heat with consistent splits.

Event 5: Girls 200-Yard IM

Mia Uliana (FR) recorded an impressive 2:37.21, leading her heat with strong pacing across all four strokes.

Peyton Dewalt (JR) followed closely with a time of 2:37.60.

Event 7: Girls 50-Yard Freestyle

Violet Dewalt (FR) posted a fast 30.76, taking the top time in her heat.

Regan Dittmar (SO) swam 31.30, with Maria Maranon (SO) finishing at 31.57.

Alivia Rieland (SO) completed the event in 33.35, rounding out a strong showing for Notre Dame in the sprint freestyle event.

Ava Uliana (SO) recorded a standout swim of 1:11.58, securing the top time in her heat and demonstrating excellent endurance in this challenging event.

Regan Dittmar (SO) posted a time of 1:11.48, while Maria Maranon (SO) followed with 1:15.48, both putting in solid efforts for Notre Dame.

Event 21: Girls 100-Yard Breaststroke

Violet Dewalt (FR) finished with a time of 1:27.86, leading her heat with a strong performance.

Alivia Rieland (SO) completed the race in 1:52.40, continuing to gain valuable race experience.

Notre Dame Green Pond swimmers showcased their skills with strong performances and top times in several heats during the meet.

Event 5: Girls 200-Yard IM

  • Mia Uliana (FR) clocked an impressive 2:36.01, the top time in her heat.

Event 7: Girls 50-Yard Freestyle

  • Ava Uliana (SO) recorded a swift time of 29.29, earning the top time in her heat.
  • Violet Dewalt (FR) swam 30.92, followed by Regan Dittmar (SO) at 31.30 and Alivia Rieland (SO) at 34.72.

Event 8: Boys 50-Yard Freestyle

  • Mark Otten (JR) posted a time of 29.27.

Event 13: Girls 100-Yard Freestyle

  • Violet Dewalt (FR) completed the race in 1:11.20, with Regan Dittmar (SO) close behind at 1:12.11.
  • Maria Maranon (SO) finished in 1:14.34, followed by Alivia Rieland (SO) at 1:17.88.

Event 14: Boys 100-Yard Freestyle

  • Mark Otten (JR) swam a steady 1:08.84, demonstrating consistency in the longer freestyle race.

Event 19: Girls 100-Yard Backstroke

  • Mia Uliana (FR) impressed with a time of 1:11.39, achieving the top time in her heat.

Notre Dame Green Pond swimmers showcased impressive performances in several events during the recent meet vs. Saucon Valley.

Event 5: Girls 200-Yard IM

  • Senior Donja Tripp delivered an outstanding swim, clocking 2:21.83 in an exhibition swim. Her splits of 30.30, 35.14, 43.72, and 32.67.

Event 7: Girls 50-Yard Freestyle

  • Sophomore Ava Uliana recorded a strong time of 28.54, followed by freshman Mia Uliana with 29.33. Freshman Violet Dewalt finished with a 32.40, and sophomore Alivia Rieland swam a 33.99.

Event 19: Girls 100-Yard Backstroke

  • Sophomore Ava Uliana impressed with a time of 1:11.38 (splits: 34.25, 37.13), while freshman Mia Uliana closely followed with 1:12.19.

Event Highlight

  • Senior Donja Tripp’s exceptional 1:03.83 in the 100-Yard butterfly.

The Notre Dame Crusaders swim team competed against Moravian and Salisbury on Wednesday afternoon, delivering several strong performances. 
On the girls’ side, senior Donja Trip shined with first-place finishes in both the 50 freestyle, clocking an impressive time of 24.45, and the 100 freestyle, finishing in 55.44. Sophomore Ava Uliana dominated the 500 freestyle, taking first place with a time of 6:19.26, while freshman Mia Uliana secured second place in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:12.70. Sophomore Maria Maranon also had a solid showing, earning second place in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:31.13. On the boys’ side, junior Mark Otten placed third in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:19.85.

Notre Dame competed against Moravian and Southern Lehigh in the pool today, delivering strong performances throughout the meet. Senior Donja Tripp led the team with two first-place finishes, winning the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:04.74 and the 100-yard backstroke in 1:01.64. Sophomore Ava Uliana placed second in the 100-yard butterfly, finishing with a time of 1:11.06, while freshman Mia Uliana secured third place in the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:41.81.

The team will be back in action on Wednesday as they take on Salisbury.
