Boys Soccer Defeat Wilson in Double Overtime

In a thrilling matchup, the Notre Dame Crusaders edged out Wilson 2-1 in double overtime. Wilson struck first, taking an early lead in the first half. However, the Crusaders rallied in the second half when senior Paul Hartman delivered a free kick that deflected off a Wilson player, leveling the score. As the clock ticked down in the second overtime, Hartman’s corner kick found junior Isaiah Miles, who headed the ball into the net with just 1:59 remaining, securing the victory for Notre Dame.

Crusaders Win: 3.00 - 2.00

The Notre Dame boys soccer team pulled off a thrilling comeback on Thursday night, overcoming a 2-0 deficit to defeat Jim Thorpe 3-2. Jim Thorpe took control early, netting two goals in the first half to put Notre Dame on the back foot. 

Junior Isaiah Miles sparked the comeback, scoring Notre Dame's first goal in the second half off an assist from senior Paul Hartman. The momentum shifted as senior Matt Robertshaw set up Hartman, leveling the match at 2-2.

With the game in the balance, Notre Dame continued to press forward, and their persistence paid off when Miles found the back of the net in the final minutes, assisted by sophomore Quinn Bohn, to secure the game-winning goal.

The Crusaders return back in action Wednesday for Senior Night vs. Southern Lehigh.

Crusaders Win: 6.00 - 0.00

The Notre Dame Crusaders boys soccer team dominated Northern Lehigh with a decisive 6-0 victory. 

Junior Isaiah Miles led the charge with an impressive hat trick, scoring 3 goals. Senior Paul Hartman added 2 more goals while also dishing out 3 assists. Sophomore Henry Hauff rounded out the scoring with 1 goal. Sophomores Liam Behrens and Quinn Bohn each contributed an assist, further highlighting the team’s balanced offensive attack.

The JV team won 1-0 as sophomore LJ Simon scores his 19th goal of the season.

The Crusaders return back in action Thursday at Jim Thorpe.

Boys Soccer Defeat Bethlehem Catholic

Crusaders Win: 2.00 - 0.00

In an impressive display, the Notre Dame Crusaders defeated Bethlehem Catholic 2-0 on Monday afternoon. The game got off to a quick start, as sophomore Henry Hauff delivered a perfectly placed lob over the defense just 17 seconds into the match. Junior Isaiah Miles capitalized on the opportunity, netting the first goal of the game.

From there, the game became a back-and-forth battle, with both teams fighting for control but unable to break through each other's defenses. It wasn’t until the 75th minute that Notre Dame sealed the victory. Senior Paul Hartman sent a well-placed corner kick into the box, and once again, Isaiah Miles was there to finish the job, scoring his second goal of the match.

Senior Jarett Nagy had four saves on the day.

The JV team also won 5-1.

With this win, the Crusaders maintain their momentum as they prepare to take on Salisbury at home this Wednesday.

The Notre Dame Crusaders boys soccer team put on a dominant display in their match against Catasauqua, coming away with a commanding 11-0 victory.

Junior Isaiah Miles led the charge with an impressive performance, scoring five goals and adding an assist. Senior Paul Hartman contributed significantly to the attack, netting three goals and providing three assists, further highlighting the team’s cohesion on the field.

Liam Behrens, JD Gippe, and Rodrigo Revesado each found the back of the net, while several players contributed to the playmaking, including Nico Braido, Yannick Quainoo, Quinn Bohn, and Henry Hauff, all recording assists.

Boys Soccer Shut Out Saucon Valley

Crusaders Win: 3.00 - 0.00

The Notre Dame Crusaders delivered a dominant performance Thursday afternoon, defeating Saucon Valley 3-0. The victory was spearheaded by the strong efforts of sophomores and juniors, pushing the Crusaders to another important win.

The first half was a tight contest with both teams battling for control. Just before the break, in the final moments of the first half, sophomore Henry Hauff broke the deadlock with a key goal, giving the Crusaders a 1-0 lead going into halftime.

The second half saw the Crusaders extend their lead. In the 56th minute, sophomore Gene Behme found the back of the net, capitalizing on an assist from junior Isaiah Miles. Just six minutes later, junior Nico Guet-Cruza sealed the game with a third goal, making it 3-0 and leaving Saucon Valley with no room for a comeback. Junior goalkeeper Mark Perone had 6 saves on the day.

The JV team also won 4-0.

The Crusaders will look to carry this momentum into their next match on Saturday as they face Catasauqua.

Crusaders Win: 1.00 - 0.00

The Notre Dame Crusaders boys' soccer team claimed a 1-0 victory over Lehighton on Tuesday afternoon. Despite dominating with nearly 20 shots on goal, the Crusaders were only able to convert once, courtesy of sophomore Gene Behme.

Behme scored the game’s lone goal with an assist from junior Isaiah Miles, breaking the deadlock and securing the win for Notre Dame. Junior goalkeeper Mark Perone had a relatively quiet afternoon, making just one save.

The Crusaders return back in action Thursday at home vs. Saucon Valley.

Crusaders Lose: 1.00 - 4.00

Notre Dame boys soccer came up short in a 4-1 loss to Northwestern Lehigh on Saturday morning.

Senior Blake Benolken provided the lone bright spot for the Crusaders, netting the team’s only goal in the second half. Despite a tough offensive night, junior goalkeeper Mark Perone kept Notre Dame in the game with an impressive 11 saves.

The JV team won 3-1.

The Crusaders are back in action on Tuesday vs. Lehighton.

Crusaders Win: 7.00 - 0.00

The Notre Dame boys soccer team shut out Pen Argyl Saturday morning 7-0.

After a back and forth first 20 minutes, senior Paul Hartman netted the first goal of the game assisted by junior Isaiah Miles. The Crusaders responded again 3 minutes later off a free kick from Hartman making the score 2-0.

After the half, senior Matt Robertshaw crossed the ball to sophomore Liam Behrens to net his first goal of the season. 

Junior Isaiah Miles had a standout second half scoring three goals all assisted by senior Paul Hartman. Sophomore Henry Hauff added to the shut out scoring off of an assist from Miles.

Junior Mark Perone had two saves on the day.

The Crusaders are back in action Thursday vs. Bangor at home.

Crusaders Lose: 1.00 - 5.00

The Notre Dame Crusaders boys soccer team dropped a 5-1 decision at Moravian Academy Tuesday.

Assisted by senior Paul Hartman, senior Yannick Quainoo scored the lone goal for the Crusaders. 

Junior Mark Perone had nine saves on the day.

 

The JV team tied 1-1 against Moravian with senior Andrew Shupe scoring for the Crusaders.

 

Notre Dame is back in action Saturday at home vs. Pen Argyl.

Boys Soccer Suffers 1-0 Overtime Loss

Crusaders Lose: 0.00 - 1.00

The Notre Dame Crusaders boys soccer team suffered a crushing late-game defeat on Saturday, losing to Tulpehocken 1-0 in overtime at home.

After a back and forth first 80 minutes, Tulpehocken conceded the game-winning goal just a few minutes into overtime by a penalty shot.

Goalkeeper, Mark Perone had six saves on the day.

The JV boys soccer team beat Tulpehocken 3-0.

The Crusaders will be back in action on Tuesday at cross town rival Moravian Academy.
