Notre Dame's dynamic duo, Liam Behrens and Nico Guet Cruza, made a strong showing Wednesday at the PIAA District XI Boys Tennis Doubles Tournament held at Lehigh University.
In the opening round, Behrens and Guet Cruza delivered a dominant performance, defeating Saucon Valley’s Lin/Hahr in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2. The Crusader pair then faced a tougher challenge in the quarterfinals, going the distance against Allentown Central Catholic’s Keenan/Spinosa. After a hard-fought battle, they emerged victorious with a 7-6, 0-6, 6-3 win to advance to the semifinals.
The pair returns to Lehigh today, where they’ll take on Moravian Academy’s Chadha/Vicic with a spot in the District XI championship on the line.

At 1st singles, Nico Guet Cruza set the tone with a commanding 8-0 victory. Liam Behrens followed up with a strong effort at 2nd singles, winning 8-4, while Michael Huber battled hard but fell 4-8 at 3rd singles.
The doubles teams delivered in a big way, with Nico Braido and Aidan Dalton cruising to an 8-1 win at 1st doubles. Gene Behme and Kaiden Engle matched that scoreline at 2nd doubles, also winning 8-1.
