The Notre Dame baseball team edged out North Schuylkill in a thrilling 9–8 home victory, fending off a furious seventh-inning comeback to secure the win.

Notre Dame jumped out to an early lead, putting up four runs in the bottom of the first inning. The Crusaders added two more in the third and three in the sixth, finishing the game with 12 hits and taking advantage of six walks issued by North Schuylkill pitchers. Offensively, Austin Casal led the way with a perfect 4-for-4 performance at the plate, including a double and an RBI. Connor Albert added two hits and a run scored, while Michael Wachter drove in two runs and reached base four times. Colin Pevorus and Matt Robertshaw each contributed key extra-base hits, with Pevorus also scoring twice.

On the mound, Casal earned the win, throwing 3.1 innings and allowing three runs—two earned—on three hits. Paul Smith and Christian Rivituso combined for the final 3.2 innings of relief. Despite allowing five late runs, they managed to hold the Spartans at bay and seal the victory.

Notre Dame's defense committed just one error compared to North Schuylkill's four, a difference that ultimately proved critical. The Crusaders stranded 11 runners but made the most of their opportunities early, building enough of a cushion to survive the late-inning drama.

The Notre Dame baseball team powered past the Palisades Pirates on Wednesday, securing an 11-6 road victory behind a dominant offensive performance and solid pitching.

After falling behind early, the Crusaders surged ahead with a 3-run third inning and broke the game open with a 5-run explosion in the sixth. Clemente Cintron led the offensive charge, going 3-for-5 with 2 RBIs and 3 runs scored, while Christian Rivituso added 3 hits and 3 RBIs of his own. Jason Frederick contributed a triple and 3 RBIs, rounding out a balanced lineup that collected 12 hits overall.

On the mound, Michael Martino earned the win, pitching five strong innings with 4 strikeouts and allowing just 1 walk. Rivituso closed the game with two innings of relief, striking out one.

The Crusaders improve their record and will now look ahead to Senior Day this Friday at home vs. Pen Argyl—a special afternoon honoring their seniors in what promises to be another exciting matchup.

Notre Dame struck early with 3 runs in the first inning and tacked on 6 more in the second, building a lead that Moravian couldn’t overcome. The Crusaders collected 9 hits and were led at the plate by Clemente Cintron, who went 2-for-2 with a walk and a stolen base. Justin Silvius added a key 2-RBI double, while Austin Casal and Michael Martino each drove in runs.

On the mound, the Crusaders were stellar. Starter Paul Smith earned the win, throwing 2 shutout innings with 3 strikeouts. Relievers Christian Rivituso and Andrew Wake combined to allow just one hit the rest of the way, with Wake striking out 6 over 3.1 innings of scoreless work.

Notre Dame improves their record and will look to keep the momentum going as they travel to face Palisades today.

In a high-scoring battle on Monday, the Notre Dame baseball came up just short in a 12-11 loss to Bangor. Despite a strong offensive showing and a valiant comeback effort, early defensive miscues and a big start by Bangor proved too much to overcome.

Bangor jumped out early with eight runs in the first two innings, capitalizing on Notre Dame’s shaky start. Notre Dame responded with a five-run third inning and kept the pressure on with three-run rallies in both the fifth and sixth innings. Jason Frederick led the way at the plate with two hits and five RBIs, while Michael Wachter added two hits, two runs, and an RBI.

On the mound, Notre Dame cycled through four pitchers. Austin Casal provided stability in the middle innings, giving up just one earned run over four innings. 

Notre Dame outhit Bangor 12 to 11 but left 11 runners on base and committed four errors, which proved costly.

The Crusaders will look to bounce back quickly as they head to Moravian Academy for another matchup today.

Notre Dame baseball continued its strong play with a convincing 11-1 win over Executive Education Academy on Thursday at DeSales University. The Crusaders scored in five of the six innings played, using a balanced offensive attack and solid pitching to take control early and never look back.

Christian Rivituso led the offense, going 3-for-3 with a double and 4 RBIs, while Austin Casal added a two-run double and totaled 4 RBIs on the day. Jason Frederick chipped in with two hits and an RBI, and Justin Silvius added a pinch-hit RBI single as Notre Dame totaled 8 hits and 10 RBIs as a team.

On the mound, Liam Gilligan earned the win, tossing 3 strong innings, allowing just 1 run on 3 hits with 3 strikeouts. Brayden Darios and John Hull each delivered a scoreless inning of relief, helping hold Executive to just 4 hits and 1 run total.

The Crusaders will look to keep their momentum rolling as they host Bangor on Monday.

Paul Smith had a strong game, going 2-for-3 with 2 runs and an RBI, while Austin Casal added 2 hits and an RBI, and Michael Wachter chipped in with 2 hits and an RBI of his own.

Clemente Cintron started on the mound, allowing 4 runs (3 earned) over 4 innings with 3 strikeouts. Michael Martino earned the win, pitching 2.1 hitless innings in relief, and Christian Rivituso closed the door in the seventh to seal the win.

Notre Dame will be back in action tonight against Executive at DeSales University.

On the mound, John Hull pitched 4.1 innings, allowing 2 hits and 3 earned runs while striking out 2. Michael Martino was strong in relief, tossing 1.2 scoreless innings with 3 strikeouts.

The Notre Dame softball team bounced back in a big way on Monday, defeating Wilson Area 10-3 at home. The Crusaders came out strong, scoring in each of the first five innings and racking up 13 hits on the day.

Clemente Cintron had a standout performance, both at the plate and on the mound. He went 3-for-4 with a double and 2 RBIs, and also earned the win, throwing a complete game, allowing just 4 hits and 3 runs while striking out 11.

The offense was clicking from top to bottom. Connor Albert went 2-for-3 with a double and 2 runs scored, while Austin Casal added 2 hits and 3 RBIs. Christian Rivituso also chipped in with 2 hits, including a double and an RBI.

Notre Dame will look to build off this strong team performance when they face Pen Argyl on Wednesday.

On the mound, John Hull took the loss, allowing six runs (three earned) on seven hits over 3.1 innings. Andrew Wake and Michael Martino combined for 2.2 innings of relief, with Martino delivering a strong performance by striking out four and allowing no hits.

Notre Dame will look to regroup and secure a win when they face Wilson in their next matchup.

Bangor jumped out to an early lead, scoring twice in the first and adding four more in the second. Notre Dame got on the board in the third when Clemente Cintron ripped a key hit to drive in three runs. A four-run fourth inning, fueled by clutch hits from Michael Wachter and Colin Pevorus, brought the Crusaders back into the game, but Bangor’s bats stayed hot, tacking on late insurance runs.

Cintron led the offense with three RBIs, while Connor Albert, Wachter, and Pevorus each had multiple hits. On the mound, Austin Casal took the loss, allowing six runs (two earned) over two innings.
